Communications Manager
Cloe joined CVNM in June 2023. She is passionate about the role of communications in driving climate action and inspiring political change.
Hailing from New Hampshire, a place with an outsized role in American politics, Cloe became interested in civic engagement from an early age. She moved west to attend the University of Colorado Boulder, where she earned degrees in Ecology and Environmental Studies in 2019. During undergrad, she worked as a research assistant studying rangeland restoration on the Colorado Plateau, where her love of desert landscapes first bloomed.
After college, she moved to the San Luis Valley of southern Colorado where she worked in educational programming through Americorps. Living in the high alpine desert of the upper Rio Grande basin, she became interested in water management and understanding how people are adjusting to the realities of the ongoing drought.
In May 2023, she earned a master’s degree in Environmental Science from Yale University, where she wrote her thesis about the decades-long fight against water export and speculation in the San Luis Valley. During grad school, she worked as social media manager for the Yale Program for Climate Change Communication and as communications director for Sage Magazine, a student-run environmental writing and arts publication.
During her years in Colorado, Cloe spent many weekends in the mountains of northern New Mexico and is thrilled to now call the Land of Enchantment home. She lives in Santa Fe and, in her free time, enjoys hiking, skiing, learning about southwestern history, and road trips.
