Healthy environment, healthy community. Our families and future generations depend on both.
Join us for Environmental Action Moral Monday, March 9, at the State Capitol for a rally to show support for healthy communities: clean environment, renewable energy jobs and a healthier future.
There’s a lot at stake this session. The air we breathe, the water we drink, and our very livelihoods are being threatened. That’s why next Monday, we’re gathering outside the roundhouse to let decision-makers know that enough is enough. We must stand together to protect our communities.
There will be opportunities for you to get involved with the key environmental issues of the day, like fighting attempts to gut the state’s common-sense renewable energy requirements, and take away community rights to protect the health and safety of families. And together, we can protect New Mexico’s treasured waterway, the Gila River, by supporting policies that bring transparency and fiscal responsibility to the Interstate Stream Commission’s planning process.
Let decision-makers know that New Mexico simply cannot afford to put our communities in the balance. Raise your voice.
When: Monday, March 9th 2015 from noon to 2 p.m.
Where: East side of the Roundhouse, 490 Old Santa Fe Trail, Santa Fe
Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham, members of the New Mexico State Legislature, and conservation organizations will be speaking. A free citizen lobby training will immediately follow the rally.
All participants are invited to bring homemade signs, and wear the color green in solidarity with protecting the health of our communities and environment.
A free lunch will be provided.
RSVP and share the event on Facebook.
