Between recent development and proposed projects, data centers have been dominating the news. Currently, New Mexico has at least 22 data centers. Most are older, relatively small facilities that offer a variety of traditional business services. The newly proposed facilities are not the same. These are often mammoth projects that would consume vast amounts of energy, land, and water and generate enormous climate changing emissions.
Given the scale of their potential impact, CVNM has produced a comprehensive data center report. But we also want to hear from you! Your voice and your input will be critical for informing decision-makers and guiding future policies. That’s why we’re asking you to please take a moment to complete our three-question survey.
Your voice can shape the future of our community. As we face the continued aggression of private capital in bringing data centers to New Mexico your input is crucial in guiding responsible action and ensuring all perspectives are considered. Thanks for particapting!
