(Santa Fe, NM)— Conservation Voters New Mexico (CVNM) will be advocating for or against a myriad of bills at the Roundhouse during the 2015 New Mexico legislative session. The first edition of CVNM’s legislative agenda outlines the bills, which cover issues such as air quality, water, energy and climate change, effective government, environmental justice, wildlife and habitat conservation. The agenda is attached and can be found on CVNM’s website at www.CVNM.org.
“New Mexicans across the political spectrum care about creating jobs that support healthy communities, and CVNM will continue our work to ensure that those values are represented in the legislature,” said Victor Reyes, CVNM Legislative Director. “We can create a sustainable economy that preserves New Mexico’s diverse and culturally rich communities while bringing good-paying jobs to our state that don’t pollute the air we breathe and the water we drink.”
This agenda forms the basis of our Conservation Scorecard, published after each legislative session. The Scorecard provides objective, non-partisan information about the conservation voting records of all members of the legislature.
